A teen review of Need by Joelle Charbonneau.
The book Need is focused mainly on a website called need.com. The site itself is harmless, but what lies after you place your “need” is something more sinister.
Kaylee, Nate and DJ are the main characters and the story mainly revolves around them making decisions and the consequences that follow. On the website you are able to make a need request and the site will pend your request. Once the site decides whether your need is a need or a want you will be granted your need. But be careful, if the site determines your need is not really a need, they may ask you for something in return.
Kaylee and Nate suspect something more is going on than just a small little site that gives you what you want. After all, no one gets something for nothing. After several unusual events begin to happen within their town and school the real purpose of the website is revealed.
Need is a book that does not disappoint. Once you start reading the book you will not be able to put it down. Be prepared for a book that both entertains and makes you think. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes social media and mystery.
